Bobby Acri joins Wilmette Jr. Trevians Hockey as Director of Player Development
The Wilmette Jr. Trevians are excited to announce the addition of Bobby Acri to our hockey staff. Bobby has been named our new Director of Player Development as well as the head coach of the Squirt Minor (2012) Central States team and head coach of the Mite 2 team. Bobby will also be a skills coach for our house and travel programs.
The club is committed to improving our player development focus and we believe bringing on Bobby will be a great step in that direction. In addition to hiring Bobby, the club will also be investing in an online player evaluation platform to make mid-season and end-of-season evaluations easier and more robust. All travel players will receive a mid-season and end-of-season evaluation by their team coaches. Families will receive these evaluations via emailed links that are easily accessible at any time.
We are excited about the upcoming season and hope you will join us in welcoming Bobby to Wilmette Jr. Trevians Hockey!
Bobby grew up in Winnetka and played hockey for the Winnetka Warriors until middle school when he left to play for the Chicago Young Americans. He played at CYA for 5 years before eventually coming back to play 3 years on New Trier Green. Bobby attended the University of Iowa where he played 4 years of club hockey.
After college, Bobby spent his first 5 years coaching at New Trier High School and at the Winnetka Hockey Club. This past season, Bobby helped coach the U15 CYA team and assisted in building the Jr. Storm organization. Bobby is also the Co-Director at Impact Hockey during the summer.
