About Wilmette Hockey

The Wilmette Hockey Association (WHA) is a non-profit, volunteer run hockey organization dedicated to providing opportunities for area youth and young adults to learn and play the sport of hockey. The Wilmette Jr. Trevians program works to promote a safe, fun, positive and inclusive environment for players of all backgrounds that maximizes participation and improves players' skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork and self-confidence.

We offer programs for players ages 4 years through high school. In partnership with the Wilmette Park District, USA Hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks, we support players from their first strides on the ice to playing competitive Tier II hockey, including:

Since 1954, thousands of players have moved through the programs created and sponsored by the WHA. Hundreds of coaches have invested in player development to help them compete at their highest potential. Today, the WHA and its volunteers proudly serving hundreds of players and their families each season.

For the 2024-2025 season, we expect that the WHA will be awarded Central States Development Hockey League (CSDHL) teams for several levels of our youth sports program, including: Squirt Minor (2015), Squirt Major (2014), PeeWee Minor (2013), PeeWee Major (2012) and PeeWee Prospects (2012/2013). This will be coupled with additional travel teams for Squirt and PeeWee levels playing in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) and teams at the Mite level playing in the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL).

Together, our goal is to provide a great experience for every level of skater. From the beginner to the most advanced. From the casual player to the most competitive.
